I am now open to BESPOKE CAKE SMASH themes.
What does that mean?
Until now, we worked with the printed backdrops we had in the studio to create the cake smash set-ups, but everyone is different, and we embrace it here. You might want a BEE theme, FAIRY or SEA, and I will do my best to search for everything we need and get beautiful decorations that match your preferred theme. We will include more elements in the decor, like balloon garlands and props, that we can move and change if needed until we get the desired aspect.
The process
- First, the booking. I need to know what day and hour are best for you, and I will lock the date in my calendar.
- After, we will have a consultation, which is when I will get to know your heart desires. I will look for the items, and you will be presented with the options if I can find multiple variations. You get to choose the ones you think are best for the set-up we want to create. I will be in contact with you every step of the way.
- With my printed backdrops, I could easily change 3 set-ups because I kept them on top of each other and stripped them one by one from baby alone to baby and cake and splash part. By creating a bespoke theme, I will have to use different elements that take more space, are harder to move, and take longer to set up; we will be able to have only one, sometimes maybe 2 set-ups (depending on the theme). For example, the baby alone can be on a printed backdrop, and for the cake and splash part, we use your chosen theme. Or we can do all parts on the bespoke decor. We will have our usual studio backdrops for the family images and you can choose the one you like the most.
- For Bespoke cake smashes, I recommend booking at least 1.5-2 months in advance. I need time to find and order outfits and decorative elements - receive and inspect them. To cover the time involved in the process and the cost of the items, there will be a non-refundable booking fee of £149. The amount is deductible from your final order.
- Having so many things to plan for, I can only deal with the photography part. You will have to make your own or order the cake through a baker. You will also need to do the pick-up to ensure you are happy with your order.
- During the shoot, I will guide you from start to finish. I am no wizard; we all know that children's moods change fast, but I will do my best to capture beautiful pictures.
After the shoot
We will go together through the photos, and you will choose the ones you like the most. In approximately 7-10 days, you will see the edited digital images, and I will work with templates to create wall art variations. You can choose the ones you love the most to be displayed in your house. All orders are finalised at your ordering appointment, and the products will be ready for pick up around 8 weeks after your payment.
