Take a moment to think about the past year. How would you describe it? Did it pass in a blur of first giggles, tiny fingers grabbing yours, and endless cuddles?
The baby days don’t last forever. Soon, those chubby cheeks will change, and that little personality will keep growing. But right now, your baby is full of curiosity, wonder, and pure joy.
A cake smash session is the perfect way to celebrate this incredible first year. It’s a chance to capture their sweet expressions, tiny hands exploring, and the excitement of their very first birthday treat.
How does this work?
Your cake smash photoshoot will take place in my cosy home studio in Hemel Hempstead..
The session is split into 3 parts:
1. Simple “clean” portraits of your little one alone or family pictures.
2. Smash time! When we bring in the cake and let your baby explore and tastes their sweet treat. Think of it as a playful, messy sensory session!
3. … and splash - a chance to relax and splash while capturing a few more special photographs. Most babies absolutely love this part.
We do not charge for the session itself. You can secure your prefered date with a £99 non-refundable retainer deductible from your final order.

What is included
Here’s what you can expect from your cake smash photoshoot:
Consultation: After booking, you'll receive a prep guide and a backdrop catalogue to choose from. Once selected, we'll plan styling and setups to perfect your session.
Session: Babies` are unpredictable. I allow plenty of time for cuddles. Patience is key, and I work at your baby’s pace to ensure their comfort and happiness throughout the photoshoot.
Viewing: Around one week after your session, you'll return for your viewing and ordering appointment. This is when you'll see your final gallery and choose your favourite images and products.
