The first few days when your little one arrives are full of moments you’ll want to remember forever. A newborn photoshoot is perfect for capturing the essence of those early days with photographs you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
When to Book Your Newborn Photoshoot
The ideal time to photograph your baby is 6-10 days old, as they are still sleepy and easier to settle.

To ensure your session happens within this time frame, I always encourage parents to get in touch during pregnancy. However, if your baby has already arrived please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Beautiful, candid family photos can still be achieved with patience and care.

Once you are ready to book, we will make a tentative booking based on your due date, ensuring availability for your session. Once you bring your baby home from the hospital, you can reach out to arrange a convenient date and time for the shoot.
How Newborn Photoshoots Work
Here’s what you can expect from your newborn photoshoot:
Consultation: After booking, you’ll receive a guide to help you prepare for the session, and a catalogue of backdrops to choose your favourites. Once you’ve made your selections, we’ll take time to discuss styling and setups for your session.

Session: Your newborn photoshoot will take place in my cosy home studio in Hemel Hempstead. The room will be warm and comfortable for your baby, with plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes, and cuddles.
​
Duration: Newborn sessions typically last between 2-4 hours. We’ll take our time to ensure your baby is comfortable and settled.

When you are ready to book, you can secure your session with a £99 non-refundable retainer deductible from your final order, which includes:

Viewing and ordering appointment
Around one week after your session, you'll return for your viewing and ordering appointment. This is when you'll see your final gallery and choose your favourite images and products.
You’ll receive your chosen images via E-mail.
Please note: Full payment is required at the end of this appointment.​

My home studio in Hemel Hempstead is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of your newborn. From maintaining a comfortable temperature to providing a clean, safe environment, every detail is tailored with your baby’s well-being in mind.
Comfort and Warmth: The studio is kept at a warm, cosy temperature to help your newborn feel relaxed and sleepy throughout the session.

Clean and Hygienic: Your baby’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. All props, backdrops, and blankets are cleaned before each session.

A Variety of Props and Backdrops: You will find high-quality props and backdrops to suit your preferences. From delicate wraps and adorable outfits to beds and bowls, I offer multiple options to create timeless and unique images. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your favourites during the pre-session consultation.
​
Relaxation for Parents: As a new parent, I want you to feel at ease during the session. There’s a comfortable seating area where you can relax, and watch as I capture images of your baby. The entire process is designed to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible for you and your little one.

Tailored for Your Baby’s Needs: Newborns are unpredictable. I allow plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes, and cuddles. Patience is key, and I work at your baby’s pace to ensure their comfort and happiness throughout the photoshoot.
